As the annual Materials Handling Middle East conference comes closer, Pallet Truck Shop, one of the UK’s most trusted names in materials handling, has urged representatives from the supply chain, logistics and warehousing industries to keep abreast of the big news coming out of it.
“Although globally the logistics industry is not enjoying a boom period, the opposite is true in the Middle East,” said Phil Chesworth, Managing Director of Pallet Truck Shop. “Therefore it makes sense we’ll be seeing more innovation and new products from exhibitors there.”
The event is the ninth annual of its kind, with over 130 exhibitors from over 21 different countries, representing 250 brands. It’s the only dedicated networking and trade show for the industry in the wider Middle East, and will take place from the 11-13 September at the Dubai International Convention and Exhibition Centre.
Discussion forums will be of interest to attendees and industry professionals, where the discussion will be on relevant trends in the industry and the potentials for its future. Although the average UK warehouse looking for new equipment may have to wait a while for it to become available commercially, they can still buy useful and long-lasting items like table trucks and manual stackers from reputable UK brands who are constantly updating their stock.
“This trade show is likely to have an impact on warehousing across the board,” added Phil Chesworth. “It’s only sensible to keep an eye on it to see if your working patterns could be affected or see if any trends make their way over the sea to UK warehouse work.”
